Plagiarism

Why plagiarism is wrong and illegal.

If you're a writer who has had their work stolen, then you know how horrible it feels. Stealing someone else's book/characters is 100% illegal and morally wrong. It is something that can be taken to court and sued for.

Definition: Plagiarism is the unauthorized appropriation of the words, graphic images, or ideas from another person. A second definition is stealing and passing off someone else's ideas or words as one's own without crediting the source.

Plagiarism is the act of using someone else’s ideas, words, or thoughts as your own without giving credit to the other person. When you give credit to the original author (by giving the person’s name, name of the article, and where it was posted or printed), you are citing the source . Plagiarism is when you do not include this information in your paper.

It's illegal, and people who do so are subject to a lawsuit.

They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, but that doesn't mean stealing someone's book that they wrote and worked hard on is ok. It is 100% wrong and ILLEGAL, meaning you can be taken to court and sued for doing so.

Where I got all this information? Links below. As you can see, I am crediting the owners of the words written above.
